What is your name and the name of your organization/location?

Alex Luciano based in Richmond, VA

How long have you been in the art industry?

I’ve been risograph printing my own artwork since 2019 and I started teaching in person
and online classes in 2020!

How long have you been using RISO duplicators and the method of RISOGRAPHY?

7 years, I’ve been risograph printing my own artwork since 2019!

What are some of your favorite colors to use with a duplicator?

Some of my favorites are mint, kelly green, coral and sunflower!

Why RISOGRAPHY?

Risograph printing allows me to print high volume printed matter in fun, vibrant colors! I
love the process, it’s the perfect mix between hands-on and automated, and it has a
unique printed look that you can’t get anywhere else. I love how easy it is to experiment,
to quickly make and remake masters. I love the inks and the colors they can make!

What would you tell people who are just finding out about RISO Duplicators and the artform of RISOGRAPHY?

To look around, there is more riso out in the world than you think! And It feels like magic
when you actually get to print your own work on the machine, definitely try to find one
near you and take a class, it’s so fun to actually get hands-on! It’s really easy to get
obsessed with the beautiful colors, unique textures, and speed of printing! JOIN US!!!
